Wedding Album for my cousin

Good morning! I have to say that the time change has me completely messed up or better yet it has our new puppy messed up because he normally gets up at 5:30a.m. to go outside and today he woke up at 4:30a.m. Fun for me!

Several weeks ago my cousin got married and today we will be holding his new bride a wedding shower. I wasn't sure what to get t
hem so I decided to make them a scrapbook album that they could hopefully use!

I wasn't able to attend the wedding and have not seen pictures so I was not sure on the colors of the flowers or cake so I went with basic black and white throughout the album and figured that the colored pictures would stand out more that way!

'This day I will marry my friend; the one I laugh with, live for, dream with, love.'

I found this album at Hobby Lobby and it is leather bound and black, super cute!

For a friend...

School is starting in less then a month and the teacher's are in their classrooms getting things ready for the first day. A friend of mine teaches kindergarten and she is using a ladybug theme this year so I made her this sign to hang outside of her classroom! Now I need to sit down and make one for my classroom!!!!
Receipe
Gypsy
Create-a-critter
Making the grade
black and red cardstock
Stickles
ATG gun adhesive
I have to say that I LOVE MY GYPSY! I was able to cut all of the letters out on one 12x12 piece of cardstock because the gypsy allows you to move the letters around and I was able to place them in different positions to save paper!!!!!

I just complete my very first Blog Hop over at www.peachykeenstamps.com.
I have to say that I have never participate in a blog hop before because I wasn't exactly sure what it was all about. This morning I woke up and decided to jump right in and give it a try. It was fun and through visiting all the different blogs I have found some new inspiration! Can't wait until the next one I can find.
Also, found out this morning that I did not win the challenge over at Emma's Creative Time with Me Throwback Thursday challenge, I was number 88 and the 89 was the winner! Congrats to them! I still love the idea that I participated!

Hope you have a great Monday and hopefully I will be able to post some pics later.

I bought it!!!

I finally broke down and purchased a Gypsy for my Cricut! So far it has been somewhat easy to use, there is a little bit of a learning curve when it comes to figuring out the exact placement of paper on the mat to the placement on the gypsy but so far so good. I also broke down and bought three new cartridges, Create a Critter, Storybook, and Calligraphy. I was super excited yesterday when I went to the store and found several cartridges that I didn't have in the clearance section. I always use the price scanner to double check prices and was so happy when two of then scanned for cheaper then they were marked! Marked $45, scanned $23!!!! Needless to say I was giddy!
I hope to have something made today but no promises as we will probably head to the lake when everyone wakes up!
Have a great Saturday!

Handmade cards

I am new to stamping and card making, I usually just make scrapbook pages but I thought I would try my hand at making cards. It is actually not hard to do because there are so many blogs and websites that have such cute ideas and templates out there.

The King of the Grill card is blank on the inside and I used an old Christmas card and covered up with cardstock I found at Michael's. The stamps and ink are from Stampin Up and I used Stampin Up watercolor pencils and blender pen to color the image. I scraplifted this card from another Stampin Up person and for the life of me I cannot find her website now.

Tri-fold cards

I found this breast cancer paper at Michael's and the inside stamp "Survivor" also came from Michael's, the ink is from Stampin Up and the flowers and brads are all Spare Parts products. I love this card.

My painted ATG gun!

I am a regular visitor to www.mypinkstamper.com and she recently posted a video showing how she was able to paint her ATG gun so I thought I would take a stab at it and I have to say I love it! For those that have these guns you know that they are a major staple in your scrapbooking supplies so I was a little nervous about messing mine up but it was an ugly red so I figured anything has to be better than that!
I went to Lowe's and bought Valspar spray paint and then I added some Martha Stewart glitter to the wet paint for a little bling. Now anyone that knows me knows that I hate glitter. I painted the gun in my husbands shop so his floor now has glitter all over it! :)

Father's Day Card

My first attempt at making a Father's Day card that looked like a jacket and shirt. It ended up being larger than I wanted and I haven't figured out how to make an envelope for it so it is now sitting in my card pile! I still think it turned out really cute!

Composition Book gift sets

This cute set is actually a composition book that I covered with pattern paper and embellishments and it also includes a small legal pad, post-it-note holder with pen and a jumbo paper clip. I made several sets of these and gave to my co-workers (who are teachers) as an end-of year gift.
I was able to find papers and embellishments that "matched" their personalities and I think they turned out really cute!

Post-It Note Holder

So I finally got brave and decided to try to make a Post-It Note holder that I see all over the Internet. The only problem that I am having is that my cover will not stay flat so the next time I will make the spine smaller to see if that helps or maybe bigger not sure which would work better.

Christmas 2007 - A little behind!

Okay, these pictures were from 2007 but at least now I can say they are done! We have a tradition in our house that all the guys hold the star and put it on the tree. Needless to say this is getting harder as they get bigger.
The star that Chris is holding is the first star Eric and I bought when we first got married, I think we paid $2.50 for it at K-Mart and neither one of us has been able to part with it. I tried to get a new one one year but it just didn't look right on our tree. I love our tradition!

Chris

Various pictures of Chris! What a cutie!!!!

LOVE album

I started out by using chipboard from BoBunny that I picked up aat Hobby Lobby.

I then used a straight blade and cut around each letter. I used 'Boys will be boys' paper set from The Paper Studio and the ribbon is from various places that I haven't kept track of!

I didn't use a lot of embellishments on this project because I didn't want to take away from the pictures and the shape of the album.

Kyle "a.k.a Crazy Man"

Kyle doing tricks on his skateboard. I have been looking everywhere for scrapbooking supplies that would fit this picture and I am happy to say that I found some! Stampin Up! has some really cute skateboard stamps, they also have motorcross and four-wheeler stamps. So I think I will sign up as a demonstrator so that I can receive their discounts. I found a lady who encourages Hobby Stampers to sign up so I won't have to worry about having those Home parties and being a pushy sales person!

Chris, Kyle and Madi

This is a picture of Chris, Kyle and Madi. We went to Florida this past summer and was able to take Madi with us! We stopped in to see Eric's mom in Georgia and her backyard is full of beautiful plants so we made the kids pose for us (they really liked it but acted like they didn't)!

Happy Valentine's Day

This morning I woke up to my husband fixing me biscuits and gravy, hash browns, and bacon for breakfast! He is so not a breakfast eater but this morning he sat down with me at ate!
Not much planned for today, as usual I have homework. We do not have school tomorrow because it is teacher improvement day.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine's day!
Hugs and Kisses!
