DD#82 Rich Pink and Green Challenge

http://thedynamicduoschallenge.blogspot.com/2013/12/dd82-rich-pink-green.html

So it has been awhile since I have popped over to the Dynamic Duos Challenge site and since we are experiencing another snow day here in the Ozarks I thought I play along!

My entry is a paper wreath! The paper I used is from Stampin' Up!, but for the life of me I cannot remember the name of the paper pack that I purchased (which is frustrating because I want to get some more).

You will need:
12' foam wreath (I got mine at Michael's using 40% coupon so it was only a couple of dollars)
6 12 x 12 Double sided scrapbook pages cut in 1/2" stripes
Straight pens (about 180)
Cutter
Bone folder
Chocolate...lots of chocolate and maybe a few band-aides

How to assemble:
 1. Cut paper into 1/2" stripes
Note: It helps to keep your stripes in stacks so when you go to assemble you are not grabbing two of the same colors.
2. With your bone folder curl your paper (just like you curl a ribbon on a gift)
3. Begin pinning the paper to the wreath
4. Remember...there are no mistakes!

My finished wreath:

Thank you for stopping by and I would love for you to become a follower or at least leave me a comment!

Christmas card with matching gift card bag

Just a quick post before I head off to teach the future citizens of our world! I made these cards using my Stampin' Up Christmas Ornament framelits and the matching stamp set. The paper is from Recollections Sugar Plum paper pack that I bought on Black Friday at Michael's for $7.99!!! (I was so excited to get this paper for this price because it has all kinds of textures in it!) I used a strange type of twine that I also picked up on black Friday, have to admit that it is not the easiest to tie.
I also made a little gift bag that would be cute to go along with these cards!

This little gift card holder was made using my fabulous cricut, TBB&M cartridge, plain beige card stock, my Stampin' Up Ornaments framelits and matching stamp set! The Merry Christmas stamp set is also from Stampin' Up, Sassy Salutations and Teeny Tiny Wishes.

My Christmas Handmade item

I found these at Hobby Lobby. This is the before picture, I think I spent a total of maybe $6 for all three.
This is the after picture. I used some paint, cardstock, a metal tag holder and some ink. I think they turned out pretty cute and was less then $10 to make.
Close up picture, couldn't get the picture to rotate.

Christmas 2007 - A little behind!

Okay, these pictures were from 2007 but at least now I can say they are done! We have a tradition in our house that all the guys hold the star and put it on the tree. Needless to say this is getting harder as they get bigger.
The star that Chris is holding is the first star Eric and I bought when we first got married, I think we paid $2.50 for it at K-Mart and neither one of us has been able to part with it. I tried to get a new one one year but it just didn't look right on our tree. I love our tradition!
